Well, that all depends on what you want to use it for, what you want in a portable system as well as who makes it. Price doesn’t always equal quality so make sure you do your homework so you don’t waste your money; even on a more expensive gps system.

However, there will be more advanced systems out by then with more perks and higher price tags; but those prices will also drop eventually and the cycle will continue. So if you want a cheap portable gps, but a high quality one, just wait a while until those prices drop.

Cheap Is Still Good

You must consider, however, that even the cheap portable gps systems give you turn by turn directions just like the more expensive models. They will still get you to your destination. If you don’t travel that much and you just want something to get you from here to there, then get a cheap portable gps system. It’s still a good system, as long as you read reviews and make sure you’re getting a solid product. The cheaper models just might not do as much as the more expensive ones. But if you’re not going to even use those abilities, then why bother spending money on a higher priced model?

The bottom line is that cheap is fine as long as you know what you’re getting and you know the model you’re getting does everything you want it to.
